The Creed
What the Marine Corps Taught Me
The Marine Corps taught me that as a United States Marine,
when you’re given a job, a mission, a purpose in life,
you don’t ask for more personnel.
You don’t ask for more equipment.
You take what you’ve got and get it done.
And if they tell you to do this job all by yourself,
well, you’re a Marine. That should be enough.
And if they tell you to do this job all by yourself,
with nothing more than your bare hands,
well, you’re a Marine. That should be enough.
And if they tell you to bring an entire country to its knees,
all by yourself,
with nothing more than your bare hands—
You’re a United States Marine.
That should be enough.
